WHAT IS AN LTE?

What is an LTE?

LTE is an abbreviation for Long-Term Evolution. LTE is a standard for wireless communication of high-speed data for mobile phones and data terminals based on GSM/EDGE and UMTS/HSPA network technologies.

What’s the difference between 4G and 3G?

The “G” stands for generation. 4G is the fourth generation of data technology and is between three to twenty times faster than the previous 3G. Combined with LTE technology, 4G LTE networks can give you fast online browsing speed, similar to and possibly even better than the connection your router offers at home.

Does LTE work abroad?

Yes, but there is less LTE coverage in countries abroad compared to the United States. If your device can’t pick up on LTE coverage it’ll still continue working. It’ll just pick up on the next service available down the line.
